What to expect

Simple for you.
Thoughtful by design.

NeurOptimal® is described as an automated, non-linear neurofeedback system. Your role during a session is simple: get comfortable and listen.

01 — ARRIVE

Settle in and relax

Buck prepares small sensors to read electrical activity at the scalp. No electricity is delivered into your brain.

02 — LISTEN

Let the music play

As you listen, tiny pauses in the audio provide moment-by-moment feedback about changes the system detects.

03 — REFLECT

Notice your experience

People come with different goals and report different experiences. There is no single expected outcome or required number of sessions.

How it works

Information, not instruction.

Unlike approaches using practitioner-selected brainwave targets, NeurOptimal® automatically responds to the brain's changing activity. The feedback is delivered through small pauses in music, without stimulation or diagnosis.

  • Non-invasive: sensors listen; they do not stimulate.
  • Non-directive: no required brainwave target or preset protocol.
  • Individual: experiences and preferences differ.

Questions people ask

Curiosity is welcome.

Here are the essentials. For deeper technical materials, visit the research and resources page.

Is this a medical treatment?

No. NeurOptimal® is presented as a general-wellness training tool. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure medical conditions and should not replace care from a qualified healthcare professional.

What happens in a session?

You sit comfortably with sensors placed at the scalp and listen to music. Brief interruptions in the sound provide feedback as brain activity changes. The training portion of a standard session is usually around 33 minutes; allow additional time for setup and discussion.

Do I need to understand brain science first?

No. The system runs automatically. You don't need to read brainwave charts, focus on a task, or direct your mind toward a particular result.

How many sessions should I book?

That's a conversation to have with Buck. The material he provided emphasizes that experiences vary and that clients choose their own pace. Multi-session options are available, but there is no guaranteed outcome or universal number of sessions.

Where are appointments held?

At 8040 E. Morgan Trail, Suite 3, Scottsdale, AZ 85258. Please confirm location details when booking.
